NOTD: Leopard Print Crosses

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you are well :) As you may or may not know I am an absolute sucker for my leopard print nails, however recently, I have been getting really fed up of the same old leopard print design and wanted to try something a little edgier. I have recently found a love for all things studded and crossified (I think I just created a new word there, groovy huh?!) and thought that I would incorporate this into my nail designs and mixed it with my classic leopard print. What do you think? Does it work well together?

How do you like your leopard print?

Lotsa love,

Jubilee Celebrations!

I was going to wait and post this later on in the week, but I have had such a good weekend, and am on such a 'jubilee high' that I needed to write this post now, hehehe. This weekend, in the UK, we have been celebrating the Queen's jubilee - 60 years of her being on the throne. This also meant that we had a double bank holiday, resulting in a four day weekend, woohooo! In true Bourton style, we took advantage of this and threw a huge garden party yesterday to celebrate the occasion. Obviously I felt the need to paint my nails and so a union jack pattern originated...

Reams of bunting, jugs of Pimms, and one union jack pavolova later, here are a few snaps from our garden party.

Me and my gorgeous boyfriend! I love you x

Swapped my face for the day! ;)

Happy Jubilee everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. What did you all get up too?

Lotsa love,

MCM Expo London Comic Con 2012!

Hello my lovelies,

I am back! I hope you are all well? I am not going to ramble on and list the reasons for my lack of posts but lets just say I have been a busy busy bee, teehee. (I'm a poet and I didn't know it!)

Today's post is going to be something very different, however as ever it will include a themed nail art picture (I genuinely get excited painting my nails to match an occasion/event). At the end of last month (25th - 28th May 2012) my boyfriend and I had a cheeky weekend away in London and attended the London MCM Expo Comic Convention. I have to say, I bought the tickets for André's birthday and was going along to keep him company HOWEVER I have to admit I absolutely loved the convention and we are definitely returning next year with our fancy dress outfits hehehe!

This year the London MCM Expo Comic Con was sponsered by Universal Pictures and their new movie The Lorax. The events were spread over six event stages, and you could find everything from the latest movie promos, video game greatness, anime awesomeness, marvellous manga, comic book coolness and of course cosplay! The weekend is full of guest speakers, shopping stalls, game previews and of course the cosplay masquerade ball. Here are some photographic highlights of our weekend away:
